A 5-floor apartment in Rikuzentakata

IMG_7953Rikuzentakata Nov 5, 2015
This is still about Rikuzentakata, a nice town hit by tsunami 4 years ago… There is.. still we can see a 5-floor apartment…but only the fifth floor still have doors and windows.. Until the 4th floors, none anymore…
Yeah… they have gone with the huge tsunami which destroyed 70,000 pines tree in the city, which flowed cars and landed big ship in high building…
A red line, written 14,5 m…
Yeah…. that is the line the tsunami achieved… Can you imagine….? How people could survive, how was that day…. how was the day after that?
Rikuzentakata, becomes a very silent city now…
But, what I admire from Japan is, they keep moving on…. arrange the new city in the same place with different technology… They are making artificial mountain for foundation rebuilding new town…. They created some experiments for agriculture to make a new life.
And, it surely can be, probably 3 yrs later… there will be a new town, with new hope…
Well, now we can’t hear children voice. However, the people here keep their faith that this city will be a monumental city even a model city for the next generation, that whatever happened, the decision to get stronger is in our own…
Never give up!! Keep fighting, be courage…
But also be nice, love the universe and keep being inspiration as well as being inspired.. Every pearl is just waiting to be found… Life is just series of waves… One touched the shore, then move to the next one…. God is always good all the time…

A Tree of Hope

Ippon Matsu : One Pine Tree

This is a story about a beautiful place named Rikuzentakata, Iwate Perfect. Japan..
When March 11, 2011, a very huge tsunami, after 9 SR earthquake, hit the city and totally destroyed anything…

The symbol of city, 70,000 pine trees were also destroyed by the tsunami, nothing left..
However, one pine tree was still stood there, alone… The Ippon Matsu
Though eventually it died because of sea water, but not by the tsunami, then the city government duplicated similarly, as a monument of hope, symbolized as a tree of hope…
And Japanese people believe that they are the tree of hope itself, alone standing after hit by huge life tsunami, but will not die.. It just makes them even stronger..

Well, it was truly sad memories which make the city is still very silent now, but someday, it will be again a very nice and strong city there….
Japan government pays a great effort to rebuild the city with all facilities, as they believe, they are stronger than whatever tsunami..

And the tree of hope…
Will always be a reminder,
That whatever hard waves of life hit us, there will be always a hope…
Just continue moving on, continue living a life gratefully… Since standing still is just moving backward…
A reminder, not only for people there, but also for us, me especially, to stay strong, to keep our hope, yaa because hope makes us alive…

Now we can see the symbol, tree of hope, printed everywhere in Rikuzentakata as postcards, bookmarks, key-holders..
But actually it is not only there…
If we silently see to our deepest heart, we will find it…

Yeahh, we have the ippon matsu in our heart.. Cool isn’t it?
So, I remind myself, just keep walking, cause there is always a hope for better future, even it will be much better than previous situation.

Be patient, calm down, keep moving, keep fighting….!!!
